Prepper and Survivalist Solutions and philosophies...

Useful link to Preppers and Survivalists both may feel a bit far fetched to those who benefit from the societies they live in, the socieities they feel a part of to what ever degree. And yet sometimes it's better to prepare for experiences like Pandemic Lockdowns, rising Energy prices which ultimately never come down regardless of a more stable geopolitical environment for where energy may be sourced. Ultimately a lot of fun can be had for the average person installing, utilising and so on for everyday needs... It also leads to greater self sufficiency, which is both sound security and more contributory to more sustainable consumption and need.

The ultimate extreme is societal breakdown. Depending on the nature of the breakdown, different scenarios lend themselves to managing life. After societal collapse, different realities are likely to ensue. One could surmise there will be a transition period in which survivors could salvage food, materials and tools from the ruins of their given society(s). Of course this will depend on the level of existing skills and resourcefulness of different peoples' around the world. In a western context however, after a certain point this transition period would end, and humanity would have to produce their own food, make their own tools, practice hygiene and fight infection to maintain health, and develop energy stores for a new society to survive the aftermath.

The greatest philosophers and theoreticians understand that life and relations on earth start from basic materialism. Whatever political or ideological concepts one finds most persuasive and one finds greatest personal affinity to, there is an inherent historical materialism.

Key Elements to a Hydroponic System

Hydroponic systems are a match for classic vegetables like Spinach, Lettuce and Kale; Herbs such as Mint, Chives and Basil; other fruit and veg such as Strawberries, Tamatoes, Scallons, Cucumbers Radishes, Gree Beans, Green,Red, Orange and Sweet Peppers. Those needing greater space than a given hydroponic reservoir such as Corn and Pumpkin or with long routes like Patatoes and Carrots are more difficult to grow using a given hydroponic system.

  • Utilising a light source such as direct sunlight or artifical light, plants gain sufficient light to grow.
  • Choosing an appropriate size grow tray for containing the given plant.
  • Choosing the Growin medium to ensure best position and ensuring nutrients reach the roots.
  • Reservoir for the water and nutrients
  • The mix of micro and macro nutrients needed for healthy plant growth
  • Submersible pump to transfer nutrients from reservoir to Grow Tray.
  • Oxygen Pump for plant roots.

Types of System
